It is also used in a combination with dexamethasone for the treatment of multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women as well as in patients less than 18 years of age.

Uses of Lenalid Capsule –
Multiple Myeloma
This medicine is used in a combination with dexamethasone to treat multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer.

Myelodysplastic syndrome
This medicine is used for the treatment of patients suffering from transfusion-dependent anemia due to low- or intermediate-1-risk myelodysplastic syndrome associated with a deletion of 5q cytogenetic abnormality with or without additional cytogenic abnormalities.

What Lenalidomide is?

Lenalidomide is one of the novel drug agents used to treat multiple myeloma. It is a more potent molecular analog of thalidomide, which inhibits tumor angiogenesis, tumor secreted cytokines and tumor proliferation through the induction of apoptosis.
